The ALS Association, St. Louis Regional Chapter strives to be a resource for health-care professionals in the management of ALS and meeting the needs of ALS patients.  The primary goals of health-care professionals are to enhance the functioning, self-esteem, comfort, and perceived quality of life of the person with ALS. 

 

Resources from The ALS Association, St. Louis Regional Chapter, include:

§         ALSource, a newsletter published twice a year specifically for the health-care community.  ALSource is available on the Web site by clicking here or it can be mailed to you.

§         A large variety of written and video information on the management of ALS.  In addition, The Association has developed a library of free CD’s that feature information on the management of ALS:
                    §  An Overview of ALS 
                    §  Loss and Grief in ALS 

§         Speakers for in-service programs and presentations on ALS.

§         Exhibits for health fairs and conferences.

§         Educational seminars and continuing educational opportunities held in various locations.  Date, place, and subject will be posted on the Web site when programs are scheduled.
