Some Helpful Tips:

Name your fundraiser
What do you want to name your campaign? Is it in honor of someone special? In memory of a friend or loved one? Are you working towards a cure? Interested in supporting people with ALS with medical equipment, counseling or caregiver relief?

Facebook will provide default language for you to use when creating your Facebook fundraiser, but you can add your own experiences to personalize your campaign and help others understand why this cause is important to YOU. TELL YOUR STORY!

Here are a few facts about ALS to get you started:

  • ALS is 100% fatal and caring for a person with ALS can cost over $250,000 per year in the later stages of the disease.
  • ALS may be diagnosed specifically to an individual, but make no mistake, it is a disease that impacts the entire family
  • The cost of developing a prescription drug that gains market approval is $2.6 billion
  • The ALS Association supports people with ALS and their families, helping them to manage the staggering emotional, financial and physical burden of the disease with free programs and services to increase their quality of life–all while searching aggressively for treatments and a cure.
