THE 2023 ST. LOUIS WALK TO DEFEAT ALS

Join us for this year’s St. Louis Walk to Defeat ALS on Saturday, June 24, 2023, in Forest Park. Your participation in the Walk to Defeat ALS has a direct impact on people living with ALS and their families at the local level. Through education, support groups, access to care and advocacy, we are working to defeat ALS and provide hope to people living with ALS and their families. KIMMSWICK 5K & 1 MILE FUN RUN/WALK

Keep your eyes on the pies and join us for the 13th annual Kimmswick 5K and 1 mile Walk and Fun Run on July 29, 2023! Run through historic Kimmswick, along the Mississippi River, the Anheuser Estate and the Windor Harbor Bridge (the oldest known wrought iron bridge in Missouri). The Blue Owl Restaurant & Bakery’s famous “Levee High” apple pies will be awarded to the top overall male and female finishers. Hang around post-race for attendance prizes, refreshments, raffles, music, shopping and more.

SWING FOR A CURE GOLF TOURNAMENT

Join us for the 28th Annual Swing for a Cure Golf Tournament. This event features 18 holes of golf, brunch, and food and games on the course at the historic Glen Echo Country Club. Following your round, enjoy cocktails, a buffet, and an extensive silent auction topped off by hearing how your round supports people with ALS and the search for a cure.

Please join us for the 2023 Springfield Walk to Defeat ALS on Saturday, September 16th at Southwind Park. The Walk to Defeat ALS® is a free event and is the number one way our community can join together to show support for people living with ALS. Attending the Walk you will be surrounded by people with ALS, families and supporters all committed to fighting ALS! Community Partner Events
A Community Partner event is a fundraising activity that is organized and managed by a family, group or individual who is acting independent of The ALS Association. SUPPORT GROUPS
There are times we can all use support, and community. Our support groups offer comfort and connection for people with ALS, caregivers, and family members at all stages of their journey. Click here to learn more about local support groups.
CAREGIVER WORKSHOPS
Caregiver Workshops are presented by former and current caregivers. In addition to insights shared by experienced caregivers, the workshops provide dedicated “hands-on” time, enabling you to experience the equipment and practice the techniques first-hand. Beyond the specific topics of the workshops, you will have the opportunity to talk with caregivers who have experienced some of the challenges you may be facing. All workshops are 12:30pm-4:30pm.
